Wallpaper reverting to old one on reboot

Post by dstryr712 »

As I began to shut my Windows 7 machine, I noticed my wallpaper switch back to what it was before Multiwall was installed. I did not have Multiwall start with Windows, so my old wallpaper was still displayed when it reboot. Starting Multiwall, I still had to set it again. Is this normal ? is there a way to permanently save the wallpaper without having it change if I shut the computer or Multiwall?

I'm not aware of any possible way to avoid that, but I don't experience that issue myself either which is strange as I am also using win7.

Are you running any other wallpaper apps?

Do you experience the issue with any other wallpaper apps?

Yes, this is normal behavior for MultiWall, as it applies wallpapers dynamically rather than permanently setting them in Windows' default wallpaper settings. Since MultiWall is not set to start with Windows, when you shut down your PC, Windows 7 reverts to the last wallpaper it had stored before MultiWall applied its changes.
